Dr Artūras Šitkauskas treats and operates on patients with brain and spinal diseases. He has an interest in functional neurosurgery, the diagnosis and treatment of facial pain, and specialises in the treatment of patients with malignant brain tumours. He is interested in the fields of intraoperative brachytherapy, photodynamic diagnosis, and photodynamic therapy for malignant brain tumours.
He is a pioneer of percutaneous transoval procedures for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia in Lithuania.
